Midland is the home for several festivals throughout the year such as Celebration of the Arts, The Blues Festival, and Mardi Gras. Enhance your conference or event with attractions such as the American Airpower Heritage Museum, The Petroleum Museum, Midland Community Theater, Midland-Odessa Symphony & Chorale, The Midland RockHounds professional AA baseball team, golf, tennis, and several major shopping centers.
When your event calls for a pre or post trip, allow the Midland Convention and Visitors Bureau to help you make arrangements for a variety of Big Bend National Parks excursions.

JANUARY

Annual Scottish-Irish Faire Always the 2nd weekend in March held at the Midland County Horseshoe Arena Complex. Weekend activities include Celtic music, Scottish & Irish dancers, Scottish Clans, geneology seminars, bagpippers & drummers workshop, and all types of Celtic jewelry, clothing, crafts and more for all ages. Rock the Desert: This annual multi-day festival attracts over fifty thousand Christian music fans. Friday nights feature praise and worship, Saturday has inspirational rock and roll. Also featured; skateboarding, sports tents, family speakers, youth leader training extreme games, kid’s activities, a prayer tent and ‘Talk Back Live’ with bands.
